UNITED
METHODIST QUILTERS
This group of
women meets each Wednesday to make quilts and share fellowship. Things to
do in the quilting room include hand quilting, “tying” quilts, sewing
binding to finish quilts, cutting blocks, sewing blocks, lay-out of quilts.
The hand quilting is done by request of persons who have a quilt they would like
finished. There is always a waiting list. Tied quilts are usually
put together by the quilters and sold. A special project coordinated by
this group in 2001, was to make baby quilts for missions and lap robes for home
bound persons. Anyone interested in participating, is welcome to come to
the quilting room on Wednesday afternoon.
